My Project

My students have difficulties with sensory processing needs which affects their ability to self regulate within the classroom. I am looking to build a sensory room where my students can go to use equipment and explore various sensory systems.

A sensory room is an inclusive space for all students to feel comfortable and safe.

Each item selected targets a different sensory need. For example, our vibrating pillows help to give deep pressure and a calming response, while the tunnel is used for excitatory response. Every student has various sensory needs and benefits from different strategies.
