My Students

My students need access to modern science technology. The materials that I am requesting can be used in all of the science classes offered at our school. The overhead flow table alone has applications in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental and Earth Science.

We live in a rural community which has been devastated by the recession.

Our school has an enrollment of around 600, 62% of them are eligible for free or reduced lunches. I know of a number of students who come to school because it is a reliable source of food. I also have many students who are having to take on adult responsibilities. It is my desire to provide these young people with the best learning materials available. My students have the potential to be the scientists of the coming generation. But more importantly, they deserve the chance to live their dreams. Please lend us a hand for the betterment of our great country. You will not regret your generosity.

My Project

I'm requesting an overhead flow table that will allow students to visualize the flow of energy, the flow of water, the flow of wind, the effects of gravity, and the mixing of chemicals. The teaching tank can also be used for biological experiments in addition to environmental and earth science demonstrations. An additional support is the reference manual for the teaching tank. Both of these pieces of equipment lend themselves to add on materials which increase the impact of the experiences. More students in more classes can be reached through these requested materials.

Without your support, my students will not be able to experience science to its fullest potential.

We have already been told that finances are going to be cut drastically. I am desperate to make sure the my students don't have to suffer because of a lack of funds. But I can't do that without your support. You are sponsoring some of the most deserving young people I have ever known. It is my privilege to serve them and to solicit your involvement.
