Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the sweetest first-graders who come to school daily eager to learn and make the most of in-person learning. My students attend Maywood Elementary School, where 92% of the population receives free or reduced-price lunch. These days just like pre-pandemic days, families of our school community make use of the after-school services that provide extended care, homework help, and a warm meal at no cost. Despite these circumstances, Maywood students' academics rank high above many of the neighboring schools with similar demographics.

My Project

My students can really benefit from having a 16 tray mobile organizer to store their literacy and math materials.

Due to the pandemic and the current social distancing protocols, sharing of learning materials is not possible.

Currently each student must store their much needed learning materials and tools in their desks. Unfortunately my students need more space to store the daily quick to get items such as white boards, literacy chip-kits, and manipulatives that seem to get lost in their desks. I believe having a mobile tray organizer will not only help my students with stay organized but it will also reduce the time spent looking for needed items in order to learn.
