Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I love having the opportunity to teach students who are eager to learn and chase their own dreams!

My classroom is made up of a diverse group of twenty first graders with a wide range of skill levels and backgrounds.

In my classroom, you will find hardworking children who are learning English as a second language and children who qualify for free lunch, along with children who are challenged academically. My students give me a "why" each day and are inspirational!

My Project

The materials requested will help my students to become more organized and independent in our learning space. I have requested items that can be used by my students and myself to keep our environment organized so that we can access materials with ease.

As first graders, my students are ready to take ownership of their space!

The organizational tools would be used in daily learning. I have requested a new bookshelf to organize math tools and centers in using storage bins. Command hooks will be used to display interactive charts, posters, and students work in our classroom. Lastly the calendar pocket chart would replace our "well used" chart that is interacted with daily to enhance our understanding of where we are in time and key math skills!
