My Students

To say that our students have had to overcome a lot over this past year is an understatement. Not only have they had to deal with normal societal and economic pressures, but they've had to do so during a worldwide pandemic. Since returning to school, they are stronger, resilient, and more ready to take on the world!

Our school is a Title I urban school with the most diverse population in our district.

Over 66% of our students qualify to receive free or reduced-price lunches. Our sweet students come from diverse backgrounds and bring a large array of experiences to our classrooms and school. School becomes a safe haven for these scholars - where expectations are the same every day and basic needs are met. While they come to school to learn, they thrive when they are given the opportunity to utilize a variety of resources to make learning real and fun.

My Project

I would like to provide our students with new playground equipment so that they are physically and mentally strong each and every day. Physical activity not only keeps kids fit, but it also helps lower anxiety, combats depression, and obesity.

I hope you will assist us in making this wish a reality.
