My Project

To ensure my room is a safe, productive, and comfortable learning environment, I need to get a variety of new supplies. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them.

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that allow them to be most focused during sustained reading.

This can be seen during independent work times, as they are able to choose any location in the classroom that works for them. Currently, I have been assigning D.E.A.R time, Drop Everything & Read, so students can read at their own pace. Students could use clip boards, floor pillows, and other reading support tools, to help aid them during D.E.A.R. time!
