Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Unfortunately, many of my students have not yet discovered a love of learning and have little interest to great literature, or lack a parent at home who supports their learning to read.

My school desperately lacks resources and is only able to provide a few new books to our classroom libraries each year.

These books get snatched up, lost or destroyed. All students deserve access to wonderful books and as educators, we need to take on the lead to pushing our students to become stronger and prepared readers.

My Project

Reading is fundamental to live and function in today’s society. We live in a society which is subjected to rapid changes in almost every walk of life. There are new inventions, theories, and discoveries happening every day. In fact, it can be safely said that many things we learned in school are no longer relevant and applicable, so learning to read and investing time in literature creates a future of creative thinkers and competent sense makers. Donations to this project will make our classroom a place where students grow a love for reading. Please help me create the supporting foundation to build their futures on. Thank you for reading.
