I am so excited for a new school year! However, I noticed that so many of my supplies needed to be replaced or updated. We are in desperate need of new pencil sharpeners, as pencils become like gold throughout the year. I am hoping to go back to groups this year to encourage teamwork and to improve our social skills. Many of the supplies will be used within the groups, but some will be their own to keep separately from the group to encourage responsibility and organization.
I have included some center activities (white crayons and pop-its) and new story books for the children to enjoy, as well as a speaker to be able to play music a bit louder while working in the classroom.
I like to use music to start the day, as well as calming music during center and independent work time.
We have access to incredible learning apps that the students can earn. New headphones would be amazing, as most of mine are broken. All of these items would help give us a great start to the new year.
