This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
At our school, we are The Eagles and we are here to soar towards excellence. We are a small school tucked in the heart of Jacksonville, Florida, and deserve to shine. I’d like to provide for these students the best that I can. Our school motto is “expect success, nothing less” and I am here to help my student know what that means! Enriching their curriculum will enrich their education and overall their futures!
My Project
With you help, these materials will be able to enhance my response to intervention lessons, provide centers for English Language Arts and Writing, as well as provide nonfiction leveled reading material for my emergent readers.
It is essential for the progression of reading that children are able to hear sounds and patterns used to make up words.
It requires children to notice how letters represent sounds. Children who lack phonemic awareness skills do not understand what letters represent.
It is my job as a kindergarten educator to motivate and educate these children to the best of my ability.
