My students walk into a classroom that is warm and welcoming each day. As a group, we make an environment that lets all of us grow, make mistakes and learn. I love watching my students grow and become positive people in their community.
My class and I came up with a motto, " Our class runs on learning." We show this each day in our classroom.
Our class is diverse in so many ways. I would not change my students for the world.
I teach at an inner city school in the Worcester Public Schools District. Our entire school receives free breakfast and lunch. We have children who live in high poverty areas and who are also English language learners. Despite their hardships, they come to school every day to learn, with beautiful smiles on their faces.
My Project
My students are all learning in a world full of technology. We use chrome books to take assessments such as, MCAS, STAR, and math tests. We also use Google as a platform to have them learn about drive and saving their hard work. Many of these programs read the test items or reading items to them. This supports our ELL students and students who struggle with reading. We are in need of fully functioning headphones to allow the students to access this tool and be 100% prepared for the difficult testing they face. Your donation will help them be successful learners and test takers as they move through third grade. We thank you kindly.
