My Students

My classroom is filled with a diverse group of students from the Playa Vista community in the Los Angeles area. At our STEM certified school, my students love hands-on learning, engaging activities, and academic challenges.

These students are hard-working, caring, and very curious individuals.

It is my aim to provide my students with the resources to allow their curiosity to drive a growing interest in learning. When given the opportunity to explore and engage, these students come alive with excitement and are eager to learn and do their very best.

My Project

Flexible seating in my classroom allows my students to feel empowerment through the ability to choose and control their optimal learning space each day. Children love to be active and move around. Flexible seating allows my students to be active and productive at the same time. Additionally, flexible seating provides students with a level of comfort that helps encourage more focused, on-task behavior.

Flexible seating makes learning fun for students.

Students will use the wobble cushions and lap desks as options to choose from for their ideal learning space on a daily basis. My main goal is to provide students with a learning environment in which they feel comfortable in order to create a more engaged and focused learning community.
