Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our life skills program includes teaching out students basic living skills, in this case, cooking. These supplies will help our students be able to create recipes, follow recipes, and learn basic cooking skills that they can utilize outside of the classroom. The idea is to provide our students with this experience in order for them to gain a practical skill that they will eventually be able to use in the workforce. Not only will this help students develop life skills, but it will also allow them the opportunity to explore a hobby like cooking and baking! Many students may use baking or cooking as a coping skill to help regulate feelings of stress and anxiety as well.
