My Project

The K'Nex STEAM Explorations Gears Building Set will provide my students with the opportunity to acquire skills using a hands-on, inquiry-based approach to information and concepts as they build, investigate, discuss, and evaluate scientific principles in action. This K'Nex set introduces concepts like gear configuration, gear ratios, rotational speed, and mechanical advantage which will help my students with mechanical life skills. My underprivileged students come from many different cultures and there are 6 main different languages spoken at our school. Using hands-on materials like K'Nex helps my students connect with each other and encourages collaboration.

Learn while you play with K'Nex Education!

K'Nex sets let students build replicas of real-world machines to gain an understanding of the principles that make the simple machines work. Having these sets added to our STEAM centers would truly help my students with a concrete education on how gears work.
