My Students

I teach special education resource math to 9-12 grade students. They are very hands-on learners who need a comfortable environment to succeed. My students love coming to my classroom where I can provided snacks and alternative seating (no one likes sitting in a desk for over an hour). Creating this environment has helped me develop working relationships with my students so they can be successful learners.

My Project

These items will help my students learn in a comfortable and clean classroom. They will also have a charging station for their personal phones and school iPads. In addition, students will be able to show their math work on the class tables using the chalkboard contact paper and pens. Also, snacks are always good for students who need encouragement or a boost (some kids do not have this at home). I also love bright and positive messages on my classroom walls. I look for these to be accepting and encouraging (like the ones I've included).
