My Students

Bright colored murals, beautiful garb, fresh fruits, ​and vegetables at the corner market and the smell of delicious Indian food coming from the nearby kitchen. This is the environment my students live in. We have a beautiful neighborhood that embodies the Indian culture. Unfortunately, my school is in a low-income neighborhood. Many of my students, a diverse mix of cultures too, attend a school that strives to give these eager students who are ready to learn an excellent education. Many of them are first-generation Americans and are excited to begin school!

My Project

Think about how it must feel sitting in those metal uncomfortable, not to mention ugly looking chairs! Well, I'm finally hopping on the flexible seating craze!

Don't you love to be comfortable while reading a good book?

Help me give my students the chance to be comfortable while they are independently reading or in small group work. Being able to change their positions during the day, whether it be at their desk or sitting on these stools with a clipboard, will help them stay engaged and on task. This will be a great edition to my classroom and get my kiddos excited to start their task!
