My Project

My 6 amazing students live in Brooklyn, NY, and attend a vocational training school. They are on the autism spectrum with multiple disabilities and learning disabilities and are non-verbal or have limited verbal skills. This project will give my students the opportunity to learn real-life functional life skills in the classroom. They will learn how to vacuum, how to clean the floor, dust the room, and even do laundry! They will be able to work together to clean the classroom and will be able to bring these skills home as well.

The materials in this project will teach my student life-long skills that will allow them to be more independent in life.

They can help keep all of their environments, school and home, clean and organized.
