Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 25 dyslexic students, 60% of them are bilingual students and all are from low social economic homes. My students are also, amazing. They come to school, they try their best and they do not give up. They find a way to compensate for their obstacles.

Reading is a challenge for my students and the majority of them do not like to read.

I am in a quest to show them that reading can be magnificent and to get them to love reading.

My Project

This year has been like no other, at the beginning of the school year, all students were remote learners. Students now have a chance to return to face to face and providing a safe learning environment is a priority.

Getting organized and offering students some supplies is a great way to welcome them back.

Due to COVID, students did not purchase the usual school supplies that they always do. With the materials that I am asking, I can provide some of these supplies as well as disinfecting supplies to keep the classroom clean.
