Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hard working, eager learners! They are so excited about being in school and tackle every learning project with positive energy! Kindergarten is such an amazing grade to teach because my students are so motivated to work and learn.

The beginning of the school year is the perfect time to create an environment where all students will excel!

I want to show my students how important exercise is and to help them develop healthy lifestyles, which includes daily exercise.

My Project

When I asked my students, "What would make P.E. and recess more fun?" the answer was "more balls and jump ropes!" I am requesting sports equipment that will be used during our daily P.E. lessons and also during recess. It is so important to show students how fun exercise can be! Playing catch with big, red, bouncing balls and running relay races through brightly colored cones is fun for all ages!

My students will be able to jump rope, learn basic skills like catching and throwing, and practice large motor skills like hopping, skipping, and jumping.

The equipment I am requesting enhances all of these skills. Most of my students do not have these materials at home so school is the place where they can play safely in a structured environment. I'm sure we all can remember bouncing brand new balls around the playground , playing kickball and dodgeball, running relay races, etc. I need this equipment to allow my students to participate in these same, fun activities!
