Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me give my students snacks for success! My students live in a district where food insecurity is very prevalent. Additionally, my students have a range of disabilities making it more difficult for them to learn and succeed in school,

These disabilities vary from learning disabilities, speech-language impairment, autism, and more.

But my students show up each day, eager to learn and overcome these challenges.

However, because of their socioeconomic status, the students are often hungry throughout the day. We should not allow their hunger to interfere with their focus and add challenge to their struggle. Help me make a difference in these children’s focus by providing a variety of healthy, brain-fueling snacks to increase their focus and help set them up for success.
