My Students

Are you the parent of a special education student? Do you see the troubles they face each day when learning. In my classroom, I serve typical learners and those with learning disabilities. I have high expectations for all of my students. With your generous help, my students can benefit!

My students attend a public school for full day kindergarten.

More than half of the children in our kindergarten program receive free and reduced meals meaning their families are at or near poverty level. Many of our students are also special education students with various learning disabilities.

My Project

The Weekly Readers are on grade level magazines that can be used a variety of ways. In whole group students can read together, and in small group students can work individually to problem solve and dive deeper into learning. Using the Smart Bord technology and Lake shore Learning software, students can be hands on in their learning. Students can manipulate learning so it is on their level.

This project is so important because it gives students the opportunity to use hands on materials to increase the effectiveness of their learning!

Special education learners benefit from this projects opportunity to differentiate their learning!
