My Project

The Filipino Club of our school are very eager in their own little ways to fight hunger in our community by organizing a food drive at our school. These requested canned goods will help kick-start our food drive.

Our community is a very populated area and many people struggle with food insecurity.

My Filipino Club students understand that by even their smallest action of reaching out to the community by giving canned goods, they can make a big impact in accomplishing the Service Stars mission .

Thru this project, I believe that one of the most important things I can teach my students is how to be a good citizen in school and in community. Together, we can help address the hunger problem, speak out about how people struggles with food insecurity and challenge other students to do the same.
