My Students

Students are mostly of immigrant households with over 85% eligible for free or reduced-price lunch. Most students speak English as a second language with Spanish as the predominant language in their household.

Despite the challenges these students face daily, some end up accepted in one of our nation's Ivy League schools -- a feat not easy to accomplish!

I am so proud of my students because despite of their disadvantages, they have managed to shine above these challenges. And they shine brightly!

My Project

It is important that today's generation understands the need to cut carbon footprint. Everyone seems to know about Climate Change but is at a lost as to what to do. One way to help fight Climate Change is by switching to renewable energy sources.

California has been a pioneer in the field of renewable energy.

Let our students be part of that history.

It is my hope that by engaging them with these renewable energy kits, students will understand the immediate need to switch away from dirty fossil fuels.
