Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our schools serves Pre-K students who are eager to learn. My students come from different backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. Most of them are English Language Learners who have been fully immersed to learn a new language. They speak different languages including English, Spanish, Mandarin, Polish, and Urdu. One of our goals is to prepare students for success in kindergarten.

My students are my inspiration!!

I believe that each child is capable of achieving anything in this world. It is certainly a goal of mine to learn and grow with my class. One of my hopes as an educator is to instill the love of learning in my students.

My Project

Pre k students learns best through play and interaction. The materials in this project will go to different centers in the classroom. The " See it grow plant lab" will go in the science center and students will be able to watch how seed grow right before their eyes! In addition, the "growing theme box" will allow them to learn about plants and ow they grow, with hands on materials such as plant stamps, growing tools, and seed packets.

We will bring the great outdoors inside!

With the "Nature Block" , my students can build natural looking structures and towers, in our block center.

The soft and safe tree seats will be placed in the library center, featuring a delightful design inspired by nature. The children will sit in these seats when they read books about things that grow, and it will strengthen their understanding of different kinds of plants and how they grow.
