My Students

This year in second grade, my class will be exploring all things NEW YORK CITY! We will learn about New Amsterdam, the 5 boroughs and all the things that make it the greatest city in the world!

I teach a gifted and talented second grade class.

Our school is extremely diverse in its community. Our student population's needs range from ELL learners to the gifted and talented. Some students live with limited means and resources. I also teach after school classes for second graders that need more practice with reading and math. Our student population is high need and very diverse.

My Project

The list of books we are requesting will help the students to learn lots of new and interesting facts about New York City and its five boroughs! Some of the books are nonfiction, while others are fiction and take place in NYC. Those stories are great since they make us remember times when we visited special places in New York too!
