My Students

Our school is in Cypress Hill, Brooklyn, NY. It is a brand-new STEM focused school with a lot of potential. The school includes students from 3K to kindergarten, and it is a melting pot of children from all around the world.

Our school is in a high-poverty area, and about 95% of the students in the school receive free lunch.

There are 15 energetic three and four-year-old children in my class but there are not a lot of funds to enrich these students' education because of the budget cuts. Although our families give us support, they can't always help out financially.

My Project

Our class needs dress-up clothes for girls and boys to use in the Dramatic Play Center. This center is central to children's healthy development during the preschool years. Students build literacy, math and social skills while deepening their understanding about the world they live in. The dress up clothes I am requesting will be used by my students to encourage imaginative play. With the clothes in these boxes, my students can dress up as a mom or dad, a princess or someone going to work.

Your donation will help provide clean and safe materials for our Dramatic Play Center.

This will make it possible for my students to extend their pretend play with props while building literacy and social skills.
