My Students

My classroom is made up of 6 students and 5 teaching assistants. In my classroom, instruction is individualized to the specific needs of each student.

The student's ages range from 19 to 21 years old.

My students benefited so much from the items they received from the last project that I did. I was able to send home items to help with remote learning and able to keep some for the classroom so everyone can benefit from having their own due to covid. My class was used to going out into the community and now we cannot. I wanted to give them the sense of giving back and making projects.

My Project

This year my students could not go to their work study program. This really affected them because this is their last year at our school. The school was given some t-shirts, sweatshirts and sweatpants. My class asked if we could have them and put a design on the sell them. We ordered some iron on designs and we started designing clothes. Someone said they had a cricut at home and they printed out the schools name on iron on vinyl. My students made an order form, gave it out, collected money, the staff did the ironing due to possible burns, the students gave the made shirts to the costumer. The students had a great time in their new jobs at there designer store. Having a cricut will allow us to create so many new designs and give more opportunities for our students to feel successful.
