My Students

Let's create fabulous art projects! Help my students create their second grade memory book that they will keep for a lifetime!

My students come from low income families all over Los Angeles.

Most of them travel about an hour each way to attend our school. Through art and creating this memory book, my students are able to express themselves in a way that they are not able to at home.

My Project

Each month my students publish a piece of narrative writing. In the our memory book, we include an art project for each month too. These projects follow themes in our Treasures reading program. I have requested markers, colored pencils, a pencil sharpener, and erasers. We will use these art supplies to complete our thematic projects.

This project is important because it allows the student to create a memory of second grade.

This book will be cherished by each student and their family for many years. Students from previous years have returned and shared how special their memory book is to them.
