Help me give my students an iPad that will introduce my students to a variety of apps that will help them create art in a virtual world, create portfolios, and can be used for communication in emergencies.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I am a fourth year art teacher at a public school in Northern Wisconsin. In our school, over 40% of our students qualify for free or reduced meals, per class our number of students living in poverty fluctuates between 35-50+%.
In order for me to offer a quality program, I'm in need of a few vital pieces of equipment to add to our learning space, to allow my students to share their work and create personal portfolios, to practice their skills of creating with a variety of apps, and lastly devices that can be used by myself, paraprofessionals, or substitute teachers in case of a school emergency to check in and communicate through our school's app.
My Project
Now, more than ever, continuing education in the art field requires a portfolio. The availability of iPads in our classroom would allow my students the opportunity to create one. Apps on the iPad would allow students to explore learning online through virtual tours of museums around the world! Students would be able to create and share original digital works of art, as well as explore and research artists.
Lastly, due to the times that we live in, the iPad would be used as a tool to communicate when there is an emergency on our campus through the app Navigate.
