My Project

To help my students learn amid the pandemic, I could use hands-on materials to foster their learning! Kindergarten and first grade students are young and need lots of interactive, hands-on learning materials! This creates more engagement and deeper learning because they are actively engaged.

To make an upcoming unit more engaging, my students would love to keep a beat by dribbling basketballs, assigning music notes to fruits, and using these to create and play rhythms!

To bring my dream learning activity to life, I'd love to get these interactive materials. The children will learn to keep a beat by staying active and dribbling basketballs to the timing and tempo of the beat. They will also learn performance arts routines with the basketballs! To assign and create rhythms, the children will use fruit and vegetable manipulatives. They will choose four to create four-beat rhythms, break apart syllables and beats in each play produce item, and assign music notes to them. The sticks will help them visualize the beats assigned to the fruits! They will get to be so creative!
