Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with 75 high school students who are from low‑income households and reside in The Bronx. My students are amazing, bold, and unique! Please help my students develop and maintain real-life coping skills.

Let’s make stress more manageable for our teens and young adults!

Teens need to learn how to navigate stressors such as peer pressure, relationships, academic pressures, and just the struggles of everyday life. Sensory stress balls and fidget spinners will give a physical tool that will remind them of how to cope with daily stressors. Stress balls have been linked to help with focusing and concentration. Fidget spinners can help them cope with uncertainty and difficult emotions.

By donating to our project, you will help to improve and increase my students’ coping abilities, which will ultimately help to increase their life and academic achievements. Help me prepare my students for real-life coping skills!
