My Students

My students are mostly English Language Learners who come to this country with knowing little or no English. Most of their parents are immigrants and also have limited English communication ability. Even though they are facing challenges and obstacles like language barriers and social-emotional problems, these kids always show up with a smile and ready to learn, I teach coding and STEM to all classes from kindergarten through 5th grade. My students are all unique individuals who are always eager to participate in class lessons.

My students love to learn, and express themselves through imagination

My Project

These materials will help support my youngest learners by having a hands-on experience of coding with a mouse and a course. My students will have to problem-solve to figure out how to get the mouse from point A to point B. This will help support their ability to use directional coding but also how to problem solve and ask for help. This will also support them emotionally because they will be able to about to socialize in a group work setting and suppoort each other. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and support
