My Students

My students come from a variety of backgrounds and many face struggles and challenges on a daily basis. Included in their daily challenges are often times financial struggles. All of my students receive a free breakfast and lunch every school day. My goal is to make the classroom a fun and welcoming environment where they can learn and grow regardless of what goes on outside of school. Even with what these kids face on a daily basis, they come to school with a positive outlook and a love for learning!

With the income restrictions placed on some of the families that I serve, many of my students do not have access to supplies to help them thrive.

My kids love to play, read, move, and everything else that your average elementary student does in a day. I cannot control what goes on outside of my classroom, but I take pride in what goes on inside of it. I want to make sure that my students strive and that they have what they need to be successful and continue their love of learning.

My Project

My students would love a circut in our classroom to make many personalized things. We would use the circut and supplies to make t-shirts, thank you cards for volunteers, and label and decorate our classroom.

There is an endless list of ideas that my students have for the class circut machine.

We would love to use the press and iron on vinyl to make t-shirts to celebrate and remember our time in third grade. We can use them to make special bags and aprons for special occasions.

We would also use the regular vinyl to label students' supplies and lockers.

My students would have time to work on independent projects with the circut. I would love for my kids to have the opportunity to make cards for their family members using the circut. We will also utilize this for thank you gifts for volunteers who help us learn in our classroom.
