My Students

I currently support K-5 grade scholars and teachers in the Miami, Florida area. My students live in a difficult neighborhood of extreme poverty. These students are bright, intuitive, and have the drive to succeed no matter their circumstances. My students attend one of the lowest-achieving schools with little access to resources and experiences.

My students face unimaginable obstacles inside and outside of the classroom.

A majority of my students are at least a grade level behind where they should be, but that doesn't affect their determination to succeed. My students have a growth mindset, and they continue to amaze me with their perseverance and persistence. They will succeed. They will achieve.

The sky is the limit at my elementary school!

My Project

Given the current times, Students are beginning to return back to school. They are all academically behind and have been through barrier after barrier.

We want our students to be excited to learn, excited to be at school, and retain all of this new and relevant reading information.

We want to celebrate our student's handwork by providing bi-weekly celebrations. These pens, putty, lollipops, and other prizes will motivate our students to keep pushing, even when the school may get hard!

All teachers, no matter the grade level, want to motivate their students. This project will do just that!

Celebrate Black teachers and kids! This project supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of students are Black.
