Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school offers students a nurturing school learning environment where they complete A-G curriculum course work, explore career options and prepare for college or trade schools. Applying for financial aide and applying for college is important in high school.

Celebrating students’ cultural traditions is important too and we want to celebrate lunar new year!

Having a fun school event to celebrate Lunar New Year and encourage students to apply to college will be great! My students decided that they want to give gifts at the event.

Gift giving is a tradition in Lunar New Year. My students want cool items that they can give to the people that attend the event. The items in this project include individually wrapped candy, red envelopes, inspirational stickers, fidgets, key chains, pencils, cups, journals and books. The candy is delicious. The cups change colors when they have cold liquid. The stickers say inspirational quotes. The key chains are colorful and have a light.

In this event students and their families will get gifts and information about financial aide, career options and colleges. We want students to celebrate cultural traditions, apply for college and to apply for financial aide.

All the items in this project will be given to students and family members at the event. Thank you for supporting our project and thank you for caring about my student's interest in celebrating Lunar New Year and learning about colleges.
