Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I grew up being surrounded by many different cultures. I believe that students who learn about different cultures will promote respect, tolerance and empathy towards one another. My students are amazing and very inquisitive little 6 year olds. I would like to bring new experiences to my students by teaching them about the Chinese Lunar New Year (The Year of the Snake).

I'm excited for them to be learning about different holidays, traditions, cultures, and foods.

For this project I am requesting various traditional Chinese outfits for my class to try and take pictures with. This is in addition to with our class learning about the Lunar New Year using the Panda Express curriculum.
