My Students

My second-grade classroom is transforming from a traditional classroom of instruction to a technology-infused classroom of collaboration and exploration.

At my school, students have a passion for learning but face unique challenges with the support of engaged families.

All of our school's students are eager to learn and have great potential. That is not to say that our school is without its challenges; our students deserve to learn skills that they can apply in their technology-rich futures and careers. I feel that providing opportunities for students to work with age-appropriate technology helps our students become better learners and gives them the foundations for a tech-infused future.

My Project

These books will support all students in understanding that there are many ways to be a kid! Students need to see themselves and their friends in the spaces they inhabit. Providing a print rich environment that represents all kinds of kids will help create empathy and understanding.

Our classroom is a diverse community of learners and books are one way I strive to make my classroom and library a more inclusive space.

The diverse list of books includes a variety of levels, genres and topics to expose students to rich, uplifting, diverse books! Your donation will ensure there are culturally diverse books in my classroom and curriculum to use for instruction!
