Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
"If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you." My students are third graders who are determined to learn how to learn. They are motivated and I want to support them with what they need to become better readers and writers.
My school is located in a high-poverty area and is not able to provide students with all the supplies that they need to succeed.
Even though my school does not have all the supplies necessary for learning, we are a level 1+ school. I want to give my students the opportunity to learn with the supplies that they deserve. I want my students to learn using all the tools that they need to achieve their learning goals. This year my classroom is full of 60 active third graders. They are very clever and I would like to provide them with materials that they need to continue building their curiosity. I want to be able to accommodate my students with the tools that they need to focus and learn in my classroom.
My Project
The world that we live in changes each and every day. We live in a world where unfortunately not everyone is accepted for who they are. Our children can see and can understand that some things in our world are not fair. I am proud to teach at a school where diversity and inclusion is celebrated. My school celebrates students' diversity and allows students to feel safe. I currently teach 60 third graders from various ethnicities and countries. I have students from Mexico, Honduras, Kenya, Iraq, Guatemala and many more countries.
I want to teach my students that their diversity is what makes them who they are.
I want to teach my students to love and accept one another. I want to teach my students that we are all the same no matter how we look or what color their skin is. With the diversity and inclusion journals, I can teach my students that they matter.
