My Students

The second graders in our classroom come from all over the world: South Korea, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Russia, Japan, China, India, Perú, Chile, and, of course, the United States. This international bunch is here to be fully immersed in Spanish, so they are learning either their second, third or even their fourth language when they are learning math!

Now is the time to add coding to the 2nd grade in our class.

These 7- and 8-year-olds are ready and so excited to start this project. We appreciate any help at all.

My Project

Second graders need to build, create, code and move. We have just embarked upon coding in my classroom! The students are excited to do this and a set of unfinished pine planks would help us to get away from the screen to see, touch and move real things.

These Keva Planks will also give us hands-on three dimensional experience!

Not only will the students create mazes for their Spero Robots, but they will be able to create amazing structures and and creative works of art.

Keva Planks in our classroom will also help the students learn to work cooperatively and focus on specific projects directed by me. I hope you'll help us with this project. Thank you!
