My Project
My Science Team will be competing as student engineers in the District Science competition where they have to create and design blades for wind turbines. They will also be building sail cars with on-site materials and test how far they can go.
Our Science Team members have been investigating different designs to determine which one of their ideas are the best by using the engineering design process!
Their final step is to test each of their designs to determine which one will move the fastest. We will be using the blow dryer to help us start our turbine blades spinning. Then they will use a multimeter to find out how much energy is being produced by their turbines.
The box fan will help us to produce wind to blow our sail cars down the race track. My student engineers are so excited to see whose designs will make it the furthest!
