Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom I have 14 little 3-year-olds who are ready to learn. Providing them with fun and exciting opportunity to learn and grow is what preschool is all about. Therefore, the items requested are items that will help my toddlers learn through fun and engaging activities.

The magnetic tiles will allow them to be creative and use their imagination as well as provide an open-ended opportunity for students to build structures and objects based on their own ideas and designs.

I also requested a hold-a-ring walking rope for students to use when walking to our classroom. The walking rope allows for students to hold on and walk as a group while keeping them safe.

My preschool students are learning to trace and write their name. Therefore, I’m also requesting a laminator machine and pouches so that I can laminate my students tracing sheets and they can reuse them multiple times. I also use the laminator and the pouches to laminate important vocabulary words and post them all over our classroom. In our science center, I make sure to label vocabulary words with the image that match our present study/unit.

We have tons of fun in preschool and many science or art activities are hands-on. Many times, students might get their clothes wet when we are doing a science experiment or kids might get paint on their clothes. As a preschool teacher, I know these types of things happen that is why we ask parents to sent in extra clothes which we keep in a pouch. The clear makeup pouches are perfect for our toddlers clothes. I have requested these bags to keep in class and make it easy for my students to place their extra clothes inside.
