This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Did you ever hear, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away?" Well, have you also heard, "A clean space is a healthy place?" Lol! Probably not because I just made it up, but it holds a truth we cannot deny. We are a school with students from literally around the world and most of them live in temporary housing facilities. Many of our families share small spaces and keeping things clean is a must to ensure healthy living.

With all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, the last thing any of us want to experience is getting sick!

Every year I come to DonorsChoose to ask for materials to support our class community and this year, I decided to ask for cleaning supplies to not only support our class community, but our students' families in need within their homes.

As we all know, laundry detergent can be costly, and they still need to pay to use the laundry facilities. I am asking for Gain laundry pods and baking soda to make essential care packages for our families to at least lift some of the burden they are already experiencing in these trying times. The disinfecting wipes, air fresher and paper towels are needed in our classrooms to care for and clean up our spaces to help lessen the spread of germs.

Your help is needed in getting our families some of the things they need. Giving donations to this project will ensure our class and home life experiences are safe, healthy and most of all, clean - and you can make it all happen!
