Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hardworking and love to learn and be active! One of the greatest things about teaching kindergarten is the students' enthusiasm for all things! My students love recess and PE time and make great use of the few materials we have on our playground. Most of my students are not able to play outside at home because of space or safety issues. School is the place for them to run and have fun!

Staying fit and healthy is something we focus on all year.

Introducing young children to fun games and exercises that keep them physically active will benefit them their whole lives.

My Project

New recess and PE equipment will allow my students to experience how much fun exercise can be. They will be able to develop basic skills like throwing, catching, and dribbling. The Hop-a-Long balls will help student develop balance skills.

Playing games like soccer and kickball with these new materials will allow students to learn about team work and the skills needed to be a team player.

New, bright colored balls will bring smiles to many faces! Giving students the opportunity to exercise daily is a necessity. We need to make sure that students are developing healthy life skills so they can continue to lead healthy lives.
