Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

These new items will help my children expand their knowledge of our community helpers.

My children are considered low income.

A lot of them face poverty, the time they spend here in school might be the only time they get to be exposed to certain things that will enhance their learning and their social-emotional development. The school and children depend so much on these type of donations that will help enrich our classrooms.

My Project

With these materials my children will be able to role play positive role models in the community which in turn will make them feel proud to be part of the community. They will also learn what it entails to be a nurse, doctor, grocery store worker, etc. With the costume reversible vest's that are in the order and the play food the children will get a chance to act out as a community helper.

Donations to our project are very important because they will help my students develop a sense of awareness of the people in our community and how we all work together.

It will also help the children develop socially and emotionally.
