My Students

Hello! I teach in a K-2 school with approximately 1,000 students. Our school has a diverse population of students. My students are smart, enthusiastic, creative, hardworking, eager, and respectful. My classroom consists of students from all different backgrounds. I have high functioning students, low functioning students, and ELL students. My school offers reading and math interventions to aid struggling learners in their educational success.

I am dedicated to my students.

It is my goal to provide an inviting, nurturing, and warm classroom where each student feels comfortable.

Our school does not receive Title I funding. Thus, the technology and resources in my classroom are limited. Most of my resources are supplied by either myself or through parent donations. The environment provided by the administration, teachers, and staff is inviting and nurturing. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of each student that walks through the doors.

My Project

For this project, I am wanting to completely revamp my classroom library. I have a lot of picture books on my classroom shelves. However, the one thing that my classroom library is lacking is chapter books, book series for all readers, and great fiction books that will help my students enjoy reading.

While shopping for this project, I searched for books that I know my students would find exciting and engaging.

This project includes books that I frequently see my students checking out from the school library. With my school being so large, the books that my students want from the library are not always available. By providing these popular titles in my classroom library, the goal is that these books will always be at their fingertips.
