it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is designed to allow students to explore through play! I live by the quote, "If a child can't learn the way you teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn." Ignacio Estrada.
I am constantly finding new ways to improve my teaching while fueling success for my students!
My classroom is filled with eighteen, energetic, 4 and 5-year-old students.
They are all motivated by success and have a huge passion to learn. On any given day I can ask them if they are ready for a busy day. They will always respond with a unanimous yes! My students are willing to not only learn, but teach their peers when they can. Our school is located in the Bronx. Our first second program hopes to provide the best education possible with the supplies available to us.
My Project
My students are excited when activities engage their kinesthetic and visual minds. The light table will allow students the opportunity to engage in learning and play. The light table will provide an open-ended opportunity for play. The light table has a calming nature which allows students the down time they need from many of the highly active activities occurring around them.
I believe this table will provide an independent and open-ended learning opportunity for my students.
In order for them to have a well-rounded school experience, we need so many individualized items. Often, they are expensive and just do not fit into the budget. Your generosity can help my students access meaningful materials that they would never have otherwise.
