My Project
We are looking to make some wild roller coaster rides from pool noodles! Students will cut pool noodles in half exposing the tunnel of them. They will design a roller coaster that will include a hill, a drop, a loop and a bank turn, as well as any other features they can design!
They will learn about the physics of roller coasters and be labeling it for many things, such as examples of Newton's laws, potential and kinetic energy, and centripetal force.
They will need to ensure a marble can complete their track without falling off for a successful roller coaster!
My students have enjoyed this project in the past, and can continue to enjoy this with your help!
