Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are young, bold, and dedicated learners who I not only teach but learn from. They aspire to be educated in the arts but have been let down year after year, not having a consistent teacher. I started this year and have encouraged them to perform in just a matter of weeks. Their attitudes have changed for the better and they want to continue their training. In all of our prior shows, we've had the struggle of not being heard during our shows. They are eager to be heard and perform but don't have the proper tools to get them there. My goal is to be able to provide them with equipment that will help them reach their full potential.

My Project

The wireless headset microphone will provide my students with the ability to put on a great show for our audience and potential be seen and heard by professional actors. They will be able to rehearse during tech week and dress rehearsal as professionals will.

It is difficult having to captivate people to be interested in the arts or to support the arts because they simply don't hear our students and therefore do not understand what is going on, resulting in no one coming to support the drama program and other visual performing art programs.
