Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Overhead fluorescent lights hurt students' eyes! Studies also show that it impacts students' ability to process, focus, and can even effect their sleep! With your help, we can purchase alternative lighting to create a warm and welcoming, well-lit environment that makes students excited to come to speech!

Alternative lighting such as warm light lamps and string lights can improve reading speed, promote mental wellness, and boost processing ability.

This is particularly important in the speech room, where many students are working on strengthening their reading abilities and their ability to sequence ideas. Alternative lighting is all the more important for these students. Additionally, your donation will fund fidget spinners and a white board, which the students will use in their sessions to keep track of important assignments for their academic classes!
