My Students

Fifth-grade students are amazing to work with!! At this age they are still inquisitive by nature but are also capable of finding the answers on their own when given the right tools and environment to explore. In my classroom, I try to make learning as exciting as possible. I love being able to see my students grow in their ability to lead their own learning, their confidence grow, and excitement when they have one of those “lightbulb” moments. By allowing my students the ability to feel comfortable in the room I know they can succeed.

My Project

On a daily basis, my students struggle to stay focused on the task at hand. Whether we are learning during whole group instruction or we are working independent, many distractions present themselves to divert us from our goal. For some, sitting at a desk can cause them to lose focus.

When students are given an opportunity to sit and work where they want to they will be able to fully focus on their learning.

As a result, other students will also be able to focus on the task at hand. Overall, the classroom will become a quiet, calm, and focused classroom where great levels of learning will take place. All students will be provided with the seating options so all will benefit.
