Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are so special because they want to learn. They love to question and explore. Their minds are always wanting to conquer the task at hand and expand their thoughts and ideas. My students come to school everyday with a smile on their face awaiting to take on the day.

We are located in the South Bronx, one of the highest need districts in NYC.

Our school is a beautifully, loving place where teachers and students grow and learn from each other.

My Project

These books and magazines will continue to help our students learn and explore current events and our country's history. Each week the students will have to read current events articles and learn to formulate their opinion based on facts. I want the students to be able to understand the difference between real and fake news. Based off of their opinions they will begin to have conversations and debates to show their point of view.

I want all of the students to have the opportunity to enhance their current knowledge and voice on current and previous events.

This will provide them the skills needed to feel more confident as life-long speakers.
